Lorimer Guest House is an immaculately maintained Victorian terraced town house , conveniently located in the town centre of St Andrews, combining the original splendour with all the modern comforts. The Lorimer is a short walk to a range of restaurants, shops, St Andrews University and the famous Old Course .
Our guest house comprises of five en-suite bedrooms and a dining room where we serve a locally sourced and cooked to order breakfast. All bedrooms are individually decorated and are well equipped with shower, en-suite plus Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
Free secure broadband internet is available throughout the guesthouse and a laptop is also available in the lounge for guests without their own personal laptop. We pride ourselves on first class friendly service and delicious, wholesome breakfasts.

During your stay at Lorimer Guest House you will be accommodated in one of our five bedrooms. All of our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, TVs, hospitality trays including tea/coffee and hairdryers. High speed broadband is available in rooms and throughout the guest house. We have three standard double en-suite rooms with one located on the ground floor and two deluxe double/twin en-suite rooms.

St Andrews Links comprises six public courses, including the world famous Old Course, two clubhouses, a golf practice centre and three shops. A seventh course, The Castle Course, is situated a mile to the south east of the town and has its own clubhouse, shop and warm-up area.
We take pride in using quality locally sourced fresh produce showcasing some of the best local and Scottish Food producers in the food we prepare. Scotland’s food and drink comes from unspoilt habitats and varied weather, which are perfect for producing a wide variety of high quality fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and much more.
A summary of the provenance of the produce used in our breakfast menu is shown below. We are delighted to have achieved VisitScotlands’s Taste Our Best accreditation as recognition of our sourcing policy and the quality food that we provide.
Our hearty breakfasts are available daily until 9am.

- Our sausages and bacon are from Penmans Butchery in Crail.
- The black pudding & haggis from the Macsweens of Edinburgh.
- All our milk and butter is produced in Scotland.
