A warm welcome awaits you at our family run guest house. Our location is in the west end of St Andrews, only a few minutes’ walk to the restaurants, cafes and bars. The famous first tee of the Old Course can be easily walked to in 10 minutes. Visitors to the University of St Andrews will find our location ideal for the Science Buildings on the North Haugh and the Observatory.

Your hosts are four generations, a lifetime of experience in hospitality. Looking after guests is more than just a job! We have welcomed guests from all over the world.

If you would like to explore further afield, St Andrews can be a perfect base from which to explore the wider Kingdom of Fife including the quaint fishing villages of the East Neuk.

Accommodations :

We have 10 beautifully decorated bedrooms. All offer that oh so essential comfy bed with crisp white linen and many thoughtful little extras that will make your stay special.

All our bedrooms are located on the first or second floor, there are no ground floor bedrooms.

All our breakfast options are freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients,  where possible.  Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room.

We also offer packed breakfasts for guests whose day has an early start.

Select your starter from our tempting buffet selection and order your entrée from our varied seasonal menu.  

By prior arrangement, a continental breakfast bag can be provided for those early departures or those golfers with an early tee time.

You don’t stay in a guest house for a bland breakfast do you? Thats why we choose the very best local suppliers and know where our food has come from.

You only need to look at our eggs to know they are special – large and free range, from D. Blyth and Son, Leven.

Award winning Craft Butcher JB Penman, Crail source our bacon, sausage and black pudding from farms in Fife, Tayside and Angus

Fresh fish is delivered to our door from down the road in St Monans by J&G Wilson Fish Merchant

The Yorkston Guest House is the perfect location to play the finest golf courses in the area of St. Andrews  like the Old Course , New Course, Jubilee Course , Castle Course , Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie Links, Torrance Course , Crail , Scotscraig , and the famous Carnoustie links a short 45 minute away.
