The Kilmarnock " Barassie " Golf Club has an extensive history and have been offering golfers a magnificent links golf challenge in Ayrshire since 1887. The club is always delighted to welcome visitors from any part of the world, to build on our existing popularity with golfers from Europe, the United States and all corners of the of the UK and Ireland.

Within striking distance of Royal Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry, the course is an Open Championship Final Qualifying venue with a well-deserved reputation for some of the best maintained greens in Scotland. The Club has twenty seven holes with which to test the golfer, complemented by first-rate facilities in the clubhouse and professional's shop. Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club offers everything golfers would expect from a Scottish seaside golf course; challenging fairways and greens as well as a friendly, welcoming membership.

Barassie Links is the Championship Layout at Barassie and can present even the best golfer with a challenge.

The course offers a mix of the old and the new. Nine holes from the original course and a new nine built in 1997. Four sets of tees - Red, Yellow, White and Blue - offer a graduated challenge taking the course length off the back tees to more than 7000 yards.

Visitor enjoyment of the course will be maximized with a little bit of knowledge and we would strongly recommend that you purchase a copy of the Pro Guide from the pro shop before your round.

We are sure you'll find what you're looking for and look forward to welcoming you to the challenges of links golf.
