Strollers Bistro
At Strollers Bistro, one of the finest restaurants Ballybunion has to offer, our chefs pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients, and local seafood that is delivered daily. The ever-changing menu, along with the special attention given to each and every guest has made Strollers a haven for food lovers from near and far.
The bistro, located at Teach de Broc, Ballybunion – originally intended to offer just a light bite, has developed a little each year and it is now a fully-fledged restaurant offering an appealing à la carte menu. The choice is wide, with starters ranging from a warm goats cheese salad with beetroot, candied Walnuts, aged balsamic dressing to a sophisticated tian of crab and avocado with organic leaves & bloody mary vinaigrette, and main courses that include good vegetarian and seafood choices (including whole pan-fried black sole, and maybe even lobster if you’re lucky) and meat dishes such as rack of Kerry lamb as well as the various char-grilled steaks that are de rigeur for golfers. Home-made desserts may include a speciality vanilla panna cotta, and you can take your coffee out to the new outside seating area beside the bar, where there is an open stove. The wine list has also grown and is well chosen to match the menu. Our bar makes the perfect place for making new friends with in house guests and restaurant visitors, who like to congregate on the heated patio area to enjoy an after dinner drink and a cigar. Service, as elsewhere is delightful – professional, yet very warm and friendly.

Dated back as far as 1893, the ‘Old Course’ is richly steeped in history and prestige and has been acclaimed as one of golf’s premier destinations, drawing enthusiasts from all over the globe. Bordering the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, this 6029 metre, par 71 course was designed to cause the minimum disruption to the natural sand dunes and environment, providing the discerning golfer with an array of natural hazards along the way to ensure a truly testing day out on this classic links course.
Ballybunion Cashen Course located at the entrance of Teach de Broc
The ‘Cashen Course’ or “New” as it is known locally, derives its name from the tidal estuary where the salmon rich Cashen River ends its journey. The course provides the golfer with a true test of accuracy. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, narrow fairways, steep and imposing slopes, high gorse and hilly terrain are some of the features on this thoroughly challenging course.
