The Fishermen’s bar is known locally for serving top class Guinness and we have recently introduced our very own Huggard Pale Ale which is brewed by the Huggard Family in Killarney and is derived from an original recipe that was used here in the Fishermen’s Bar by our Great Grand Father Martin Huggard. Superb bar food is served daily in the Fishermen’s Bar from 12-3pm and in the evenings from 6-9.30pm
Recently refurnished Fishermen’s Bar offers old world charm and in a relaxing and comfortable environment, which is enjoyed by locals and visitors. With its entrance onto the main street it is individual to the hotel but still offers the same great service and food. The Fishermen’s bar is a fishermen’s delighted adored with Fishing memorabilia which have been gathered over the years of rich fishing tradition in the Butler Arms and Fishermen’s Bar.

The Charlie Chaplin Conservatory offers our guests, locals and visitors to the area a more relaxed dining experience. Diners can enjoy spectacular views over Ballinskellig’s Bay while surrounded by very special memorabilia of Charlie Chaplin and his family’s visits to the Butler Arms Hotel in the 50’s and 60’s. The Chaplin Conservatory is open daily for diners for lunch from 12-3pm and evenings from 6pm-9.30pm. We cater for individuals, as well as groups of up to 25 people.
COFFEE SHOP IN WATERVILLE
The Butler Arms Café open its doors in 2007 and since then has been going from strength to strength, with his own private entrance onto the main street, it offers a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy our freshly brewed Illy coffee and our home baked treats.
Baked cakes and scones are baked freshly every day by our resident Pastry Chef Dee Fitzgerald, a selection of homemade soups and chowder and made to order.

BUTLER ARMS CHEF
Our Head Chef Craig Newell has been Head Chef at the Butler Arms since 2011. Craig’s career as a chef started as commie chef here at the Hotel in 2000, Craig went on to study Culinary Arts in Cork during his training in worked the Marborough House Hotel. Craig went on to work in Peacock Alley and Fitzer’s on Dawson Street in Dublin. Craig returned to the Butler Arms in 2011 as Head Chef. He specialises in seafood and his Butler Arms Crabmeat Au Gratin is synonsis with regular customers that frequent the hotel and Fishermen’s.
Craig enjoys using local produce from local suppliers such as Daly’s Seafood, Quinlan’s Seafood, Scariff meats and Bernard McCarthy fresh veg. Craig likes nothing more than to prepare and cook fish freshly caught by guests here at the hotel. Craig is married to our owner and Manager Paula Huggard and they have two children.

Waterville’s own Championship Links, just 1 mile from the hotel and regarded by many as the jewel in the crown, has recently hosted many of the world’s top ranking golfers, such as Tiger Woods, David Duval, Mark O’Meara and the late Payne Stewart. Today a life sized bronze statue pays tribute to his special relationship with Waterville.

The course has embarked on a new chapter of its fabled history when noted international golf architect Tom Fazio was commissioned to update the memorable Eddie Hackett masterpiece.
