Our rooms are the perfect retreat for you to return to after a day of exploring the natural beauty of West Clare, or from your adventures along the Wild Atlantic Way. All our guest rooms are uniquely designed by a team of Irish designers. The rooms and suites are generously sized with simple fabrics and furnishings made by local craftspeople. Our interiors have been chosen to bring the outside in, reflecting the colours and energy of the hotel’s natural surroundings, from the Abigail Edward’s seascape wallpaper, the Irish handwoven tweed blankets draped over each guest bed, Kevin Lowery art featuring some of the most popular surfing waves, to handpicked locally harvested seaweeds used in our beautiful Handmade Soap Company products supplied in every guest room… We hope you rest well with us.

Reef House

Reef House is a bespoke self-catering accommodation that offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious lounge and a full kitchen. Reef House is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to unwind along the Atlantic Coast.  This 1100sq ft house is part of a small cluster of houses and is a 300m walking distance to the Armada Hotel.

  • Kitchen come dining room with hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine, dryer and all other required kitchen utensils.

  • Residents of Reef House will have full access to the Armada’s activity Club, Guest relations desk for booking excursions and activities, preferential dining times in the Armada’s dining outlets and access to all the entertainment in the hotel

  • As this accommdation is a self catering property, we do not offer accommodation cleaning services on stays shorter then 7 nights
  • While visiting reef house be sure to enjoy the use of its Cedar 5 seater hot tub, positioned to capture the best views, on the private decked terrace, soak in the full views of the reef or lie back and ponder the stars above. The perfect spot for you to retreat & recharge your batteries, after walking or hiking during the day and stargazing on a clear night. It is the perfect way to spend some precious time with family and friends.

Cliff Cabin

Nestled amidst the historic ruins of the Atlantic Hotel, this one-bedroom retreat, designed by the renowned KOTO, offers an unforgettable stay with some of the most dramatic ocean views, just steps from the cliff’s edge. The striking contrast of its bold black exterior and luminous, light-filled interiors creates a stunning visual statement.

Inside, guests can enjoy premium amenities, a stylish feature stove, and complimentary snacks and beverages, making it the perfect haven for couples seeking both luxury and seclusion. Outdoors, a private seating area and fire pit provide the ideal setting for relaxation, while the nearby hotel—just 50 meters away—offers vibrant dining, entertainment, and access to the rejuvenating barrel sauna.

Dining and Drink

We want to give you a taste of our location where possible with every bite. We spend our downtime finding suppliers, experimenting on dishes, connecting suppliers together, and creating and tasting great drinks, not a bad time to be working here!   Our produce where possible is sustainably sourced from within the county. Our meats are from North Clare, vegetables from our own Armada Farm and Moy Hill Farm, the famous Burren smoked salmon, local beers, sea veg from across the bay and low-impact seafood, to mention just a few. We’ve also created our very own whiskey and Mist + Moss gin, which is the first gin made using wild Irish juniper and botanicals that grow in the Burren.  All of this is combined with our hard-working team in creative dishes and drinks, across our uniquely styled food outlets which include Johnny Burke’s pub, Aileen’s Restaurant, Ocean Bistro and the Pearl Suite.
