You’re sitting down to more than just a meal. You’re in for an unexpected culinary experience. Your sommelier will guide you through wine pairings like an old friend showing you around their hometown. The Georgian Room is a AAA Five Diamond restaurant full of fine things: chandeliers, hand-painted china, European linens, world-class wine list. But it’s the people who are the real shining stars.

Oak Room

Relaxed tavern setting, unmatched menu. In the Oak Room you’re surrounded by leather ceilings, hand-painted murals, and a cozy ambiance. A rustic fireplace adds the finishing touch. Here you’ll find a broad range of southern favorites and signature dishes, imaginative cocktails and fine single-malt Scotch. The sweet sounds of the bagpiper playing nearby with the setting sun. The perfect place to unwind, fill up, or sit back and take it all in.

Southern Tide

Dine oceanside overlooking the dunes of Sea Island Beach and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. You don’t have to dress up, but that doesn’t mean we won’t put on our best. Beautiful setting. Mouth-watering comfort dishes. Fresh seafood with strong southern influences. Ingredients sourced from local farms. A refreshing cocktail. A well-deserved break from the activities of the day. Southern Tide’s casual, relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect place to bring the kids, gather around a table, and share lunch or dinner. And stories of your Sea Island day. Our beachfront restaurant is full of life, lots of laughs, and sunny smiling faces.

Tavalo

At Tavola, our authentically rustic Italian eatery, enjoy homemade pasta, wood-fired pizza, hand-pulled mozzarella. And the chef, as he tosses dough through the air and stokes the fire in our Mugnaini wood-burning oven in the open pizza kitchen. Experience al fresco dining, year-round, thanks to our new enclosed porch and garden courtyard. The bar is stocked with Italian spirits that pair exceptionally well with the restaurant’s Italian fare, with classic cocktails reinvented to reflect the region. A place to gather. A table to share. Golf :

At Sea Island, Davis Love III learned how to play golf from his father, practiced with his brother, and introduced the game to his son. His story could easily be the story of any Sea Island guest. Because where else can you get championship golf courses, top instructors, new teeing areas and practice greens and – in early 2019 – a brand new, 17,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Golf Performance Center?  All added to everything else there is to discover at Sea Island.  From juniors just starting out to PGA champions—and everyone in between—there’s no better place for a golfer to learn and grow. Technologies and facilities that reach into the future, in a setting that honors traditions of the past.

The Sea Island Resort offers three ( 3 ) championship golf courses :

Seaside Course :

Sea Island’s Seaside course is a Tom Fazio re-design of the 1929 classic by famous golf course architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison. Golf great Bobby Jones described it as among the best nine holes he ever played. By tying the original Seaside with the old Marshside course, Fazio, according to Davis Love III, transformed two nines from “18 holes that didn’t match into 18 matchless holes.”

Seaside is an ocean-side links course that combines its beautiful natural setting with a golf course that is both challenging and fun. The beautifully manicured fairways and greens are bordered by sweeping dunes mixed with native grasses, wildflowers, and bunkers. And the wind creates a different golf experience daily. Sea Island’s most dramatic layout, Seaside is routinely ranked among the top 100 courses in the United States. Along with the Plantation Course, it is the home of the PGA TOUR’s RSM Classic, a FedEx cup event hosted by Sea Island touring professional Davis Love III.

Plantation Course :

Created by the great British designer Walter Travis in 1928, Plantation was Sea Island’s first nine-hole course.  Redesigned in 1998 by Rees Jones, Plantation serves along with Seaside as home to the RSM Classic, a PGA TOUR event hosted by Davis Love III.  And now, Davis and his brother, Mark, are again redesigning the course, reintroducing some of its historical elements, drawing on its traditional profile, and bringing into play some of the ideas they have had since they were youngsters, when they grew up playing the course with their father.

Retreat Course :

Sea Island Touring Professional Davis Love III and his brother Mark redesigned Retreat in 2001. Carefully blending players’ preferences (including their own) from the earlier design, as well as devoting a lot of close personal attention, the brothers created an original design that while dramatic is very playable and interesting. The Love brothers added 300 yards of length to give Retreat an open feeling with a lower profile. The course is defined by pine trees and bunkers but allows players to swing freely for the target. Davis Love III changed the way the course plays so that everyone might enjoy the game as much as he does.

Golf Performance Center :

We have a pretty solid formula here at the Sea Island Golf Performance Center. We offer a comprehensive approach to golf under the trusted expertise of world-renowned instructors who are leaders in the field. Knowledge that covers each of our five core competencies—long game, short game, golf fitness, club fitting, and mental game—within a state-of-the-art facility in beautiful coastal Georgia. With a deep history rooted in the passion of PGA pro Davis Love, Jr., and later his son, Davis Love III, students of all levels are drawn to the ideal golf setting that Sea Island offers.
