SunRidge begins at the upper mouth of the canyon and descends switch-back style to its floor. Along the way, the golf course follows the rugged, natural terrain of stony ridges, rock outcroppings and secluded hollows. All the way down, players are treated to spectacular views of majestic Four Peaks Mountain to the east and Mazatzal Mountain range to the north. The fairways at SunRidge are generous with clearly defined landing areas, and reasonable forced carries over natural desert.

SunRidge can hold its own against even the best golfers, while still remaining conservative for the novice player. SunRidge hosted both the 1997 USGA State Team Championship and the LPGA Mitsubishi Motors Invitational, is listed as #26 on the list of the "Top 50 Public Courses in America" by Golf World Magazine, and is on the list of "Top 100 You Can Play" by Golf Magazine.
