The Leddie,  Aberlady – East Lothian – 4 Star

Our beautiful Aberlady landmark was first constructed in 1638. In 1970, the building was transformed into a hotel, incorporating the schoolhouse next door.

For its new chapter as The Leddie, we’ve stripped the building back and restored it to its former glory, preserving many of the authentic period features and its historic charm.

Moments, mastered

The idea behind The Leddie was simple: let’s do the basics, brilliantly. Too often, hospitality can feel overdone, with fussy food, excessive decor, and confusing concepts.

Instead, we’ve decided to perfect the things we’re all after, with a focus on carefully designed details, character and above all, authenticity.

Warm, welcoming, and always ourselves, our team are natural hosts, going out of our way to make guests feel at ease — under the careful guidance of General Manager Robert Clark.

We understand that getting the little things right goes a long way, and it’s the small details that leave a lasting impression. We pride ourselves on our attentiveness and care — and we’re always on the lookout for ways to be even better.
