Aberdeen

Golf remains an accessible sport in the city for the young and the old, the local resident and the visitor. The area is bursting with picturesque links courses. The stunning Trump International Golf Links lying on the coast at Balmedie is cementing the north east’s position as a golfing mecca. This status was only enhanced when the renowned Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open was played at Royal Aberdeen in 2014.  Two other popular links course with magnificent views and impressive sand dunes, is Cruden Bay and Murcar the next door neighbor of  Royal Aberdeen.

Our parkland courses showcase some of Scotland’s most breath-taking sights. Braemar Golf Course is the highest 18-hole course in Britain, providing amazing views over Royal Deeside, whilst, Meldrum House Hotel & Golf Course is set against a fabulous woodland backdrop.

The city has three municipal courses - Hazlehead, Balnagask, and The Links. We’re not ones to boast but Hazlehead Mackenzie course was designed by Dr Alistair Mackenzie who created the Augusta National course home of the US Masters
