Recently awarded the Welsh Golf Club of the Year award for 2007,Conway (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club is one of the premier courses in Wales and since 1890 has hosted various events, most recently the Open Championship Final Qualifying 2006 , the first Welsh club to have this honour. During June 2007, Conway hosted the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open as well as the British Ladies Open Amateur Championship. The Seniors return in 2008 and the European Amateur Team Championships will be staged here in 2009.
