GRAND TOUR ITALY (from June to mid July or September 2021)

An emotive journey through Italy discovering some of the most beautiful cities along the way such as Rome, Florence, Venice, and Lake Como. A journey that will lead you to play on some of Europes most beautiful golf courses, courses that will test even the most expert golfer. These golf courses are set in beautiful countryside and are rich in history. Ride a stress-free first-class journey aboard our luxury and comfortable coaches. You will be led by an expert tour guide who will show you the hidden treasures of each of the cities. All of the hotels we recommend have been carefully selected by us guaranteeing quality and comfort. Your arrival will be at Rome airport, with flights booked by yourself where you will be met by one of our team once you have confirmed your arrival details. Our transfer service will be waiting to collect you and your luggage to take you to your hotel. The return journey will leave from Milan which is the final city on the Grand Tour. Our transfer service will also take you to the airport from your hotel for your flight home. Day 1: ARRIVE IN ROME

Arrive in Rome on a flight booked by yourself. Transfers from Roma Fiumicino airport to the hotel are included.

Welcome to Rome, the Eternal city! Relax after your journey. During the evening, join your Travel Guide and traveling companions for a Welcome Reception and further information regarding the tour.

Day 2: Play at Olgiata Golf Club

Transfer Olgiata Golf Club. The lone Italian entry on the World 100 Greatest is a classic inland layout originally designed in 1962 by Englishman C.K. Cotton. Seven years ago, American architect Jim Fazio (brother of Tom) lengthened the course, completely bunkered it, and added water hazards at strategic spots on five holes. Given its new chops, it's a bit surprising that the 2022 Ryder Cup—the first to be played in Italy—wasn't awarded to Olgiata. Instead, it's going to Marco Simone Golf Club, another Jim Fazio design. Day 3: Visit Rome

Visit St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City and view Michelangelo’s Pietà. View the Forum during your sightseeing tour, visit the mighty Colosseum and see the Circus Maximus. Spend the rest of the day seeing the sights of your choice. Shop for souvenirs or relax and watch the world go by. Fully escorted tour with our local guide. Lunch free

Day 4: Rome – Florence

Leave Rome early in the morning. Stop at Golf Nazionale, which is listed as one of the top 100 golf courses in Europe. Round of golf (18 holes). Later in the afternoon travelling to Florence.

Day 5: Visit Florence

Early in the morning transfer to Florence. In Florence, the city's rich medieval and Renaissance history is brought to life. See Piazza Della Signoria, with its impressive sculptures and imposing palazzi. View the multi-colored marble Duomo and the famous Baptistery with its bronze doors. View the Ponte Vecchio, a spectacular feat of engineering dating from the Middle Ages. Fully escorted tour with our local guide. Later in the afternoon back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Florence - Venice

Early morning play at Una Poggio Dei Medici. Enjoy a top-quality golf course and a welcoming clubhouse, nestled in the Mugello valley protected by the Apennine mountains. Recently it was selected as the “Best Golf Club” on the “Condè Nast Traveller's” hot list, outplaying courses like the K Club in Ireland and Greenbrier in the United. Later in the afternoon traveling to Venice. The hotel is based in Mestre, just 10 km from Venice. Dinner at the hotel. 3 courses menu, drinks not included.

Day 7: Venice Sightseeing

Sightseeing tour with a Local Expert begins at the “Accademia Bridge”. Views of St. Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs, and the ornate Doge's Palace, Rialto bridge. Dinner at the hotel. 3 courses menu, drinks not included

Day 8: Venice – Lake Como

Leave Venice. Stop at Garda Golf Club the top golf course in Italy, venue of the Italian Open Golf 2018 (Rolex Series). Later in the afternoon leave Garda Golf to Lake Como.

Day: 9 Lake Como, play at Villa d’Este GC

Transfer to Villa d’Este Golf Club, ranked top 100 Golf Course in Europe. Designed in 1926 by architect Peter Gannon, it is located at a height of about 400 meters, surrounded by chestnut, birch, and pine woods, in a scenario reminiscent of Scotland. The 18-hole course is considered one of the most challenging and difficult "par 69" in Europe. Every year it hosts many international competitions. The Club House offers a lovely view of the lake. Later in the afternoon back to the hotel. For no golfer, relax, shopping, free time.

Day 10: Milan sightseeing

Morning transfer to Milan city center. Meet our local guide. Visit Duomo (entrance ticket included), Castello Sforzesco, Via Montenapoleone (fashion district), Shop for souvenirs, or relax and watch the world go by. Lunch free. Later in the afternoon back to the hotel.

Day 11: Menaggio & Cadenabbia

Play at Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf. It's one of the most historical golf clubs in Italy. Amazing layout. Are you looking for a golf experience? Play it! Later in the afternoon visit Bellagio with our local guide. Farewell dinner in a typical Osteria. Later in the evening back to the hotel. Note: it’s possible to switch day 10 with day 11 with farewell dinner at Como.

Day 12: Departure

Say “arrivederci” to Italy with wonderful memories! Transfer to Milano Malpensa Airport.

Day 1:

Arrival at Malpensa airport. Transfer to Como. Accommodation Villa d’Este 5*

Play at Villa d'Este Golf Club, listed top 100 golf course in Europe. Superb layout, historical club house british style.

Owned by the Hotel until the late '70s, the Golf Villa d'Este is located 7 miles (12 kilometers) from the hotel, near the lake of Montorfano. Designed in 1926 by architect Peter Gannon, it is located at a height of about 400 meters, surrounded by chestnut, birch and pine woods, in a scenario reminiscent of Scotland. Day 3:

Play at Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf. It's one of the most historical golf club in Italy. Amazing layout. Are you looking for a golf experience? Play it!

The Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club was founded in January 1907 and celebrated 100 years of history in 2007. It is the 2nd oldest Golf Club in Italy after Golf Club Acquasanta in Rome.

Day 4:

Play at Monticello Golf Club, venue of many Italian Open, listed top golf course in Italy and Europe.

The Monticello Golf Club was founded in 1974 on about 140 hectares and has two, 18-hole courses. It has hosted seven Italian competitions, attracting the most prestigious professionals in the world.

At the moment, Monticello is one of the leading Italian golf clubs with top level modern amenities. Over the years, the original layout of the fairways has been changed and developed by a number of architects, but Graham Cooke is the name behind the present conformation.

Day 1:

The golf course at Castiglion del Bosco is one of the finest private courses in Europe and the only Continental European design of Champion golfer Tom Weiskopf.

Weiskopf’s Tuscan masterpiece is exquisitely blended into the soft curves and contours of the estate’s rolling hills and valleys, treading lightly in an environment whose natural beauty requires

little enhancement or embellishment.  As Weiskopf himself says about the course, “It looks as if it has been there 100 years.”

Day 3:

Transfer to Florence. Full escorted private walking tour with our local guide. Florence is famous for its wealth of fine art and architecture and was long ruled by the Medici family. Monuments and art sites not to be missed are: the Uffizi Gallery, the Academy Gallery, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, the Giotto bell tower, the St. John’s Baptistery, Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce. Just to mention few, but the list can grow longer because each part of Florence, each street contains an art treasure.

Later in the afternoon back to the Resort.

Your private transfer will meet you in the hotel lobby and escort you to the edges of the central Tuscany. The landscape is lush with cypress trees, vineyards, and chestnut trees as olive orchards sprout along the hillsides. With your first stop the historical town of Montalcino, you will explore the historical wines produced around the province. Montalcino has maintained its streets and structures from the 16th century to create a unique Late Renaissance ambiance. Red and yellow flowers blossom in the narrow valleys outside of town alongside the ancient oak trees. You can see country roads in the distance that lead to elaborate vineyards and the nearby hilltop towns. The medieval, 14th-century walls of Rocca strike an imposing, and impressive, posture at the edge of town as the clock tower adorns Palazzo dei Priori and casts a shadow over the main square of Piazza del Popolo. In the afternoon enjoy a Cookery Class and learn how to make some Tuscany’s classic dishes or how to make fresh pasta or an authentic Italian pizza at La Canonica Cooking School of the Resort.

The walled city of Siena stands firmly planted in the Middle Ages preserving its original character more markedly than any other city in Italy. Siena is famous in the world for its beautiful square where every August the famous medieval horse race, called the Palio, is run, still respecting the rules of centuries ago.

DAY 5:

After breakfast, private transfer to Olgiata Golf Club for your second round of golf. Located 15 miles north of Rome along the Via Cassia on the Olgiata quiet residential complex,

Opened 1961 it features 27 holes (18 holes West Course and 9 holes East Course) designed by english architect C. Kenneth Cotton and restyled by architect Jim Fazio in 1996.

It's a challenging long layout surrounded by trees and outstanding villas featuring undulating fairways, elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play on several holes such as small creeks designed to protect some of the very fast greens. Today is compared by many to Wentworth West Course. Later in the afternoon back to the hotel.

At the end of the day, you will have a delicious dinner in a local, celebrated restaurant with a glass of wine accompanying each dish to accentuate the flavors of the meal.

DAY 6 :

 After breakfast, your private guide will meet you in the hotel lobby eager to lead you on an intimate introductory tour of Rome and take you along the iconic monuments connected to the Eternal City.

Along the way, you will stop at the Pantheon, a gorgeous structure built in the 2nd century AD after the original temple was damaged in a fire. A magnificent dome rests atop the masonry walls erected in a cylindrical shape as the entrance features 16 granite columns topped with Corinthian capitals to create a dramatic and unforgettable welcome to the Pantheon and the city of Rome. You can also enjoy shopping in the cobblestone streets fill with life and activity in front of the elaborate window displays along Via Condotti, famous for the concentration of luxury brands in one shopping street.

DAY 7:

Considered one of the most prestigious golf course in Italy, Marco Simone Golf Club, home of the 2022 Ryder Cup, is a must play if you are planning a golf vacation in "The Eternal City".The club will be the third venue in continental Europe to host the tournament, following 1997 host Club de Golf Valderrama in Spain and Le Golf National in France, which will host the tournament in 2018.
